The problem Waste Management solves

In this project, the proposed approach is to provide better transparency between the authorities and the localites and to help the government maintain cleanliness around the city. A user can report any issue he encounters. They just have to click a photo of the same and send it through the app. The government authorities can see the issues on their website according to the criticality of the issue. They can update the status of the issue from acknowledged/ in-progress/ completed. The users can upvote other’s post to increase the criticality of the issue. Government officials get to see all the garbage prone areas and then take action accordingly.

Challenges I ran into

The government official will have to design a route for the cleaning of the garbage and mark them as cleaned once done.
Another constraint would be for iOS users, as the user app is only for Android users.
There cannot be 100% verification of the images uploaded by the user.
