The problem Warpdrive solves

We wanted to make generative art more interactive and allow the users to have input on what they create. We made a game, called Warpdrive, that contains six levels. The game uses a very simple mechanic, pressing your space bar or tapping your screen, and by keepin gthat beat you can make your way through the six levels. Where you stop and what art you like is entirely up to you.

There is also a competitive element to the game, the scoring works so that the total number of clicks or taps in each level is multiplied to give a total score. The faster you tap the higher your score, however the faster you tap the more difficult it is to keep the rythm. What can look easy can get incredibly frustrating given time.

Challenges I ran into

It was the first time we had worked on Base and created a custom contract. The storing of the produced images had to be varieifed so we created a custom signature based contract mechanic to make sure that only images from the game were getting uploaded to the contract. This way the person who plays the game is always the creator of their NFT but the image has been variefied by the platform.
