The problem walletwasted solves

Having a wallet compromised often mean a loss, of tokens, NFT or anything else but it's only the beginning because a wallet adress can be stored in payment dapp or contact of other users. If the owner of the compromised wallet isn't fast enough or forget a contact her can loose further founds. This risk is growing proportionnally with the involvement of the wallet owner in the crypto ecosystem because after a few months a lot of peoples and Dapp have the wallet address.

The goal of wallet wasted is to mint a soulbound token on the compromised wallet to allow any dapp or wallet provided to check weither if this wallet is dangerous and warn the sender of a transaction a warning before sending the transaction.

Challenges I ran into

The main challenge was to keep things clear, fast and simple because in such situation the user has to care about a lot of things while being emotionnally impacted. On the other hand as the token isn't transferrable, it was important to reduce the risk of mistakes making users wallet flagged as unsafe.

The way i've solved this two sided issue was first with a clear "branding" in order to make it clear to users that their wallet will be flagged, secondly it as been solved by focusing explanation only on why to use the project and on its effect with a few steps to mint the token. Finally, in order to avoid errors the user has to type a sentence in order to access mint button. This way he has to think about how sure he is that his wallet is compromised.
