Wakey Wakey

Decentralized uptime monitoring platform.

The problem Wakey Wakey solves

Monitoring is an automated way of checking whether a service, such as a website or an application, is available. When a service goes down during an outage (downtime), uptime monitoring spots the issue and alerts the right person on the development team.
Anyone can become a validator and contribute to the monitoring process. In return, validators earn coins, which they can redeem for rewards through wallets.

Unlike traditional systems that rely on a single server at a specific location, this platform leverages multiple validators at different locations. These validators share website response times, providing valuable insights that help optimize performance and address potential issues more efficiently.

Challenges I ran into

  1. Creating the dashboard was quite challenging.

  2. Verifying that each validator accessed the sites and provided genuine information.

  3. Managing profit and loss based on a specific number of validators.
