During development, integrating seamless real-time voice input/output with the conversational AI posed a challenge due to latency and UX complexities. Initially, the ElevenLabs widget looked generic and didn’t align well with the MVP design vision, so I built a custom chat UI integrated via ElevenLabs APIs to better control user experience.

Another hurdle was crafting precise prompt flows for symptom triage that balanced medical safety and helpful guidance without diagnosing. This required iterative testing and refining the agent prompts and emergency keyword handling.

Finally, maintaining user privacy while offering effective care coordination meant designing the conversation as stateless and carefully handling sensitive prompts—achieved by making every user session independent without data storage
