PROBLEM STATEMENT
Covid-19 pandemic has revolutionized the digitization process across the world like never before! It has led to the creation of a minefield of unexplored opportunities. Keeping in mind the existing situation and its repercussions across various spheres, the implications on an individual’s physical and mental health, the impact on workplace environment, reducing increased strain on metropolitans and facilitating business and economic growth in the modern marketplace.
SOLUTION
Students who enjoyed learning new things have been confined to their homes and their teachers are finding it difficult to resolve their queries due to the lack of resources. Students are limited to theory-based cramming and thus, are not able to gain any meaningful insights of the subject. Many topics which require a deep visualization, are not being covered thoroughly. Even when all the institutions were open, textbooks were not sufficient for deeper visualization of certain concepts.
Through our platform, educators can improve learning outcomes through increased engagement and interactivity. Augmented Reality in education features aspects that enhance the learning ability and other skills like problem-solving, collaboration, and creativity, to better prepare students for the future. Our platform will enable the teachers to improve the understanding of abstract, spatial geometric concepts through manipulation and multi-angle observation of virtual 3D objects for the students.
Through our platform, user is able to collaborate with others on a video conference, along with the tools to visualize 3D models on multiple platforms.
HOLD A CONFERENCE IN VIRTUAL REALITY
THERE ARE MANY BENIFITS TO VR CONFERENCES
PEOPLE CAN ATTEND REMOTELY FROM ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD
SAVING ATTENDESS TIME AND MONEY ON TRAVEL EXPENSES.
VIRTUAL CONFERENCES ALLOW ATTENDEES AND THE REPRESSENTIVE TO INTERACT JUST LIKE IN REAL LIFE.
SIMILARLY THEY CAN USE OUR VR RECORDING SYSTEM TO PLAY VIRTUAL SALES PITCHES .
There were many challenges that we ran into.
The most prominent one was rendering the model in the browser itself. We had to go through multiple resources to find the suitable tools which could enable us to render the Model, without stressing the user’s computer. The selection of the model's format was also a tough choice.
One sneaky bug which we encountered was that the model being generated was static and could not be changed as per user’s will. Fortunately, one of our team members came up with a solution by using a small function which could render the model according to the user’s will without refreshing the page.
