Basically, it is a Guitar Karaoke that helps Musicians who practice different instruments with matching their Audio of Instruments to that of the song and produce an Accuracy Score that provides them with feedback of their progress on the particular instrument. Due to time constraints we could only make this functional for guitar.
It also shows Chord Sheets for the respective chords so Beginners have no problem in recalling different chords.
It also scrolls the lyrics as the song goes on so One can keep track of them while playing.
Now the cherry on top, you also get a Vocals-Only file to practice your chords and sync them with the audio as not every guitar player is a good singer and not everyone can manage singing and memorizing the chords and the different strumming patterns simultaneously.
Principles of design used in the UI -->
1)We have selected colour palate of Black and Purple.
2)The blue login button is more attractive to eyes due to contrast which guides user to easily login.
3)The small logo on the register screen creates continuity and also gives an identity to the app.
4)The starwars character playing guitaar creates contrast the simplistic design of the app.
5)The use of Blue and yellow throughout the app creates contrast at places and acts as attention grabber for at several places like heading or important functions like play button or mic button
6)The use of red green and blue colour to indicate toughness of the song makes it easier for user to select which song to play
We faced way too many errors in this process, sometimes our app crashed , we pushed empty folders and django was no less than a nightmare.
We had to learn Python for working on Django and Android Studio from scratch , also use of GitHub was a bit complicated as it was our first time on it.
First of all none of us were pro in this field , one had beginner's level of app development, another knew basics of java, another knew figma and a bit of designing and one was a complete beginner and knew only basics of c++.
We attended workshops , googled errors endlessly and had heated discussions with our seniors.
We also made a lot of Syntax Errors , haha pun intended.
But in the end it all came together and our app was ready. It was a rollercoaster ride but it sure was worth all of the effort we put in it.
