Venturâ revolutionizes how startups access funding by offering a secure, transparent, and efficient platform
As someone who just started learning blockchain technology a month ago, I originally planned to deploy on Sepolia. However, after attending a few workshops, I decided to try building on Avalanche instead. This shift introduced some unexpected challenges, especially when it came to getting the right Hardhat configuration and integrating the thirdweb SDK.
1. Hardhat Configuration Issues:
One of the biggest hurdles was setting up the Hardhat config to work seamlessly with Avalanche. Since I was still getting familiar with the environment, it required a lot of debugging and brainstorming to resolve conflicting dependencies and ensure everything was set up correctly. This process took up a significant amount of time and effort.
2. Thirdweb SDK Integration:
Integrating the thirdweb SDK into the project was another challenge. The documentation was helpful, but I still ran into issues that weren’t straightforward to resolve, especially with the limited experience I had. This was a major time sink, and it felt like I was constantly hitting roadblocks.
3. Team Challenges:
My team is relatively new to hackathons, so while everyone contributed the best they could, we still struggled to write as much code as we wanted. The steep learning curve and time spent resolving configuration issues meant we fell short in terms of output.
Overcoming the Challenges:
Despite these challenges, we managed to push through by staying persistent and leveraging community support. I spent a lot of time on forums and reaching out to others who had faced similar issues. Ultimately, by methodically working through each problem and collaborating closely with my team, we were able to overcome the biggest hurdles and get our project running on Avalanche.
This experience taught me a lot about patience and problem-solving in a rapidly evolving field like blockchain, and I’m excited to keep learning and improving from here.
