VaxiDoor is a simple, fully functional, multi-language website for booking online mobile vaccination slot through your device. Most of the hospitals in India are facing overcrowding and have congested vaccination rooms which put people at the risk of getting infected at the vaccination centre as the social distancing and pepper SOPs cannot be maintained. that’s when VaxiDoor comes into action to book slots for people for vaccination at their doorstep with ease being user friendly and easy to use website.
When someone registers for mobile vaccination, the website will collect data together of a particular area which the van can cover and upon reaching a threshold registration mark (say 100), the van will come to that area and vaccinate the registered people.Also it fetches the location coordinates of the registrant.
The van will be under the control of the vaccine centre. The vaccine centre will be having its login panel on the website from where it can access the booking id, basic info, approve or reject booking requests.
On the Home Page, the website has reports and ads that motivate and educate people about the Covid-19 Vaccine and also a phone call assistance to book vaccination slot for people who don't know how to register online and who don't have resources(smartphone) . In this way, the vaccination process can be made mobile, easy to register .The website consists of 3 panels i.e, User Panel, Admin Panel, Vaccine Centre Panel.
After the user logs in to the user panel they can book as many slots as they want from one user account with proper valid details and genuine aadhar breaking the barrier of multiple registrations.. The user panel also has a book list in which the user can see the approved list, pending list, date assigned and their details of registration. All these functionalities make VaxiDoor easy to use, convenient, fast and safe for mobile vaccination ensuring the minimum wastage of vaccine as it has cross panel verification.
In our team of 4, two are front-end developers and handles the UI too. Two people are in the backend. The front-end is with React.js and the backend is with PHP, so it's a big challenge for us to collaborate with the project together which has multiple features. We have put all our potential into this project to make the website as simple and functional as it could be. Being online and participating in hackathons is not really as much fun as it could be offline and also sometimes communication issues happen when we plan a google meet for discussion of the project.
In a short span of 50 hours, it will be a challenge before us to make such a website that is fully functional, dynamic, and can be implemented in the real life.
Handling the Panels and making it work for the vaccine centre, how it fetches the data registered and all will be too challenging and fun.
