The problem Vault 3 solves

May I present to you Vault 3, a decentralized storage platform designed to securely store your data in a smart and intelligent way.

Why should you use Vault 3?

Have you ever wondered where to store your crucial data such as ID cards, passports, Aadhaar cards, bank details, or passwords? Do you use a notepad, local storage in your browser, Google Drive, or any online storage system? If your answer is yes, then your important data is at risk of being attacked, stolen, or deleted since these are all centralized storage systems.

That's where vault 3 comes in to unlock the power of decentralized storage for its users. It uses a secure smart contract deployed on the filecoin virtual machine and IPFS technology to store your data on the blockchain. All you need to do is connect your wallet, regardless of which blockchain system you use, and you are ready to upload your data effortlessly, which will be directly stored on the blockchain.

Since the data is stored on the blockchain, only you with the private key can access these files. If it were centralized, anyone with access could do whatever they wanted. But when it is decentralized, we know about the perks of this new word. Vault3 is the storage app that puts you in charge of your own data where you can store your digital assets(jpeg, png, pdf, doc, videos, NFT's...and anyand everything) with confidence.

Say goodbye, to centralized storage and hello to Vault3's decentralized storage power.

Challenges I ran into

Writing the smart contract in solditiy keeping the security of stored data in mind was my highest priority and so it took a lot of work to come up with a proper system design for it. Next difficulty I faced was to find a way to integrate all wallets in the website to make it accessible to all blockchain systems. Also, to begin with I learnt of this hackathon only 4 days ago and hence had very less time to work on creating a very fluent UI and multi-pages website with informational guide. Currently the website only performs what it is meant to do. A more personalised dashboard is my next goal in the project along with the functionality of adding a secure file sharing system. Lastly the biggest problem to overcome was after sending the data on the blockchain and retrieving all its data back to show the user on the website dashboard (file name, file size, date upload, hash). But I cleared all the hurdles at the end and finally completed the project.
