The problem Vaccine on Wheels solves
These are some of the problems we solve -

Determine the region closest to the people who’ve registered on our website, making sure that they don’t have to travel long distances to get vaccinated

Give priority to senior citizens and the specially abled. These groups find it especially hard to get vaccinated because of the hurdles they face in the process.

Provide administrators of each district a portal to view and update information related to vaccines. For example, the number of vaccines left in the particular district

Ensure maximum efficiency and minimize wastage of vaccines. This is achieved by making sure that vaccines are first distributed to high priority areas.
Challenges we ran into

Our solution doesn’t deal with vaccine shortages. If enough vaccines aren’t available, we wouldn’t be able to provide a speedy service

Filtering out spam users would also be a problem. While we do require Aadhaar, it's only used for verification at the vaccination center. Having a completely foolproof system would be a challenge.

Districts or areas which are less populated might have to wait for a while to get a van to reach near them. This is because by design, we prioritize areas with higher demand in order to minimize vaccine wastage.
