The problem VAAHAN solves
In today’s fast paced world, due to the rising number of rules violations by vehicles in various organizations, there arises a demand of an automated system to monitor such activities. VAAHAN will solve the problem by authenticating as well as authorizing vehicles. So, that such rules violations can be reduced.
Challenges we ran into
--The first challenge which we faced was data collection as it is the core part to train the model. We required 10000+ images of vehicles with better visibility of their number plates so that model can detect the vehicle registration number with higher efficiency. So, to overcome this problem we used various movies, tv-shows frames so that we can have enough frames to train our model.
-- The second problem was obviously the time bound as it was quite shorter, we worked collaboratively around 12-15 hours each day in order to complete the project. Although, we completed the project on time but if we were given with a bit more time, we could have added some extra features to it.
