Urville

Land of dApps

The problem Urville solves

The distribution and discoverability of dApps are inadequate, hindering their vertical growth. New monetization opportunities are required to overcome the limitations and enhance the success of dApps. Urville is a dApp Store built on Meroku Protocol - https://meroku.org/ with innovative user engagements and revenue models and it addresses the major pain points around dApp distribution and how can the dApps get their first users.

Users get a wide range of applications and a chance to win some cool offers and NFT by the partner dApps which in turn helps the dApps to onboard new users.

Looking out for a purposeful dApp was never so easy as an user gets to explore various dApps and gets a chance to have a sneak peek into dApp before even trying to play around with that. Web2 applications already has a distribution platform in form of app stores but our decentralized applications who has to go thru a long procdeure to get listed on those platforms after multiple modifications deserves a decentralized distributor platform. Thats exactly what Urville does - dapp store the web3 way.

The platform welcomes the user with a welcome gift in a form of NFT which comes with multiple benefits. The contract for the NFT can be found here : https://mumbai.polygonscan.com/address/0x16635a7bf473eA04f5995de4fFC90BA079198179

Its open for everyone to mint for FREE and once we go live on the mainnet all these users would be whitelisted for free and gasless minting. So stay tuned !!

The platform currently 40 dApps handpicked listed on the platform with more to come in a short span of time bringing a rewarding environment for the users monetization opportunity for the platform as well as the partner dApps listed on the platform.

Challenges I ran into

Building a dApp store is fine but ideating the economics around it and making it an experience for the users and bring monetization module for the platform iteself to sustain was a major task. Communicating with the existing dApps and around the community helped me address those pointers and ideate a community friendly dApp store - Urville
