I developed a URL shortener as a side project to address the challenge of sharing lengthy URLs. This tool takes a URL as input, assigns it a short ID, and promptly returns the shortened URL to the user. When someone clicks on the generated short URL, the system queries the database and seamlessly redirects them to the original URL, streamlining the process of sharing and accessing web links.
