Uranus Protocol
The Uranus Protocol offers a transparent, secure, consensus-driven, and cost-effective payment solution for the global remote job recruitment ecosystem.
The problem Uranus Protocol solves
The Uranus Protocol is an innovative blockchain architecture that brings significant improvements to the remote recruitment and working model. Job seekers and recruiters, especially in the IT field, can utilize Uranus to accomplish the following tasks:
1/ Easy and Secure Payments: Job seekers can receive transparent and secure payments through smart contracts, avoiding risks of incomplete or insufficient payments. Recruiters can also have confidence that payment is only executed when the job is successfully completed as per requirements.
2/ Transaction Insurance: With transaction insurance services, both job seekers and recruiters gain an additional layer of protection in cases where transactions do not yield expected results or unforeseen issues arise.
3/ Seamless Dispute Resolution: The Uranus protocol employs DAO mechanisms and personal tokens for dispute resolution. This assists in facilitating reviews and decisions based on customer data, ensuring fairness and transparency.
4/ Multi-domain and International Expansion: The project supports multi-chain and cross-industry solutions, opening doors for remote work opportunities not only in information technology but also across various fields such as design, writing, translation, and more.
5/ Promoting Cryptocurrency Transactions: With an expanded outlook and collaboration with various electronic wallets, banks, and financial services globally, Uranus aims to provide convenient cryptocurrency transaction options.
The Uranus Protocol offers transparency, security, and efficiency in the remote working model, creating reliable and convenient opportunities for individuals and businesses to engage in the modern world.
Challenges we ran into
Due to the complexity of the Uranus Protocol project in terms of design and smart contract development work, we haven't been able to finalize the smart contract on the Near Protocol. We've only completed a demo showcasing the key functionalities of the contract.
Given the project's abundance of unnecessary and intricate data when stored on the blockchain, we've also built Java-based APIs with a traditional backend framework. However, we encountered some hindrances in terms of finances and experience with deployment while trying to approach and deploy servers on the cloud. For now, data is mostly directed to the frontend, except for sections involving interaction with the Near smart contract, where the remaining data is hard-coded into the interface. Nevertheless, we've made these components fully accessible on our GitHub repository.
Beyond the technical challenges, on the conceptual side, we've faced issues in terms of ideation and the time-consuming process of refining these ideas. Therefore, if the organizing committee intends to hold another upcoming competition, I suggest considering a round of evaluation and ideation consultation before commencing events like boot camps and hackathons.
Furthermore, throughout the product refinement journey, our team has received substantial assistance from the organizing committee and VBI. On behalf of our entire team, we sincerely express our gratitude.
