The problem Upstart solves

The process of meeting investors is a hassle, and it often just goes in vain. Upstart is an online business platform countering just that.
It allows both investers and entrepreneurs to sign up, and has separate interfaces for them both, while investors are curated startups that match their portfolio description to invest in, entrepreneurs are curated investors who specialise in their startup idea's field. The entrepreneurs/investors can reach out to their potential business partners through this process made very much simpler.
It involves additional features such as:
Mentors/Financial Advisors courses available to help people who are new into the business.
Network Mode, that help people expand their network and business.
Getting reviews from already experiences VCs.
Only be able to connect to someone if they are at least the 3rd contact to reduce the redundant messages.
It allows entrepreneurs to give pitches through the pitch deck option through the app.

Challenges we ran into

1. The UX part was a bit tough, since we didn't have much financial knowledge.
2. Prototyping was very time consuming since we had 2 versions of the same app for both entrepreneurs and investors.
3. To choose the colour scheme that went well w both the attributes was tough
