Challenges I ran into

Challenges I Ran Into:

  1. Data Availability: Initially, we faced the challenge of not having access to a readily available dataset specific to hackathon success factors. This necessitated scraping data from various sources manually.

  2. Python Integration: Integrating Python functionalities, especially machine learning models, within a Node.js environment posed another challenge. Ensuring smooth communication and interoperability between the two languages required careful planning and implementation.

How We Overcame It:

  1. Data Scraping: We developed custom web scrapers to collect relevant data from hackathons like SIH and Devfolio. This allowed us to create a comprehensive dataset for training our machine learning models.

  2. Integration with Node.js using Child Processes: To integrate Python functionalities into our Node.js environment, we utilized Node.js' child process module. This enabled us to spawn Python processes from within Node.js, facilitating communication and data exchange between the two languages.

By addressing these challenges creatively and leveraging Node.js' child process module for integration, we successfully built a robust and functional web application for hackathon success prediction.
