The problem UNMUTE solves

A communication gap is faced by members of the deaf, mute and hard of hearing communities.
They may use sign language to communicate. However, not everyone knows sign language, which can make it difficult for them to communicate with those who do not understand it. This leads to misunderstandings, frustration, and social isolation for deaf and mute individuals, as they may feel excluded from conversations and interactions with others.

Some of our team members have experienced this situation. Team member Srimayee was walking towards the metro station, on her way she encountered a mute woman who sought her help.However Srimayee was not proficient in sign language,she felt powerless and was unable to assist the woman.
We felt the need to address this problem by conducting a productive brainstorming session that resulted in an effective solution.

Challenges we ran into

Due to time constraint we were not able to develop the complete application, thus we decided to submit the idea and design prototype.
