Base offered us a chance to bring our ideas to life, with the best of technologies and tools.
What challenges are you focusing on?
Some of the current challenges in African higher institutions are that the current ways of verifying student identity can easily be disrupted, for example by loss of physical Identity cards, and they can also be easily stolen and used against the owners. When it comes to payments, the current methods of payment can be quite slow and inconvenient.
How does your submission address this challenge?
Unitoken solves these problems by leveraging non-fungible nature of the Base Blockchain to store data in form of Identity Cards, as well as its lightening fast speed to make transactions.
Challenges we ran into
We had a hard time getting reliable statisitics to give us an idea of the extent of the problem.
Additional Features
We integrated the the Base Blockchain via the Coinbase wallet as the tool for signing in and making transactions.
