This study uses a 77 GHz frequency modulated continuous wave radar sensor to present an innovative people counting system based on adaptive peak detection Ordered statistic – Constant False Alarm Rate (OS-CFAR) and a vital sign verification algorithm. As a result, the sensor protects personal data while still being insensitive to lighting conditions and working with occlusions. To distinguish human targets, the system uses an adaptive OS-CFAR on the filtered and pre-processed range spectrum, followed by authentication utilizing vital sign verification in the second stage. The experimental setting contains a tabular dataset of up to 10 people present in a venue. In the scenario, 90 percent accuracy was obtained, and further work enhancements are expected in the coming stages.
we propose a radar-based robust people counting system that detects targets on the range spectrum using an adaptive OS-CFAR peak detection method.
In this project we can able to find whether the object present is movable or not and then finds whether the moving object is human beings or anyother animals like dogs cats or any other by using vital sign verification. it also helps to detect the human's heart rate and the breath rate of the person individually .It can be used in the factories to count the workers and to monitor the heart rate of the workers. It can be used in the playing ground to monitor the heart and breathing rate of the players, In parliaments and government sectors and in the celebrations it can be used.
