A customized campus map with departmental digital blueprint and all other campus related informations to help the university goers easily navigate their second home.
The problem Uni-Navigator solves
A one-stop solution to find all information regarding the campus.
The maps available right now are inadequate when looking for specific locations within our campus.
It is also quite difficult to navigate through the large number of classrooms, labs and workshops that students come across in their curriculum.
UniNav has detailed markers for all buildings in the campus along with digital floor layouts for each department.
Challenges we ran into
Implementing the map APIs were the biggest hurdle we faced. While running through multiple options such as MapBox, OpenStreetMap and Here, we faced trouble adding the custom markers and layers.
We finally proceeded with MapBox API and Leaflet.
