Unikit addresses the challenge of scattered and inaccessible educational resources for college students. Currently, students need to search multiple platforms and sources for notes, books, syllabi, and past papers, leading to inefficiency and wasted time. Unikit consolidates all these resources in one app, specific to each college and course, making it easy for students to find everything they need in one place. Additionally, by allowing students, seniors, and teachers to contribute, it fosters a community of shared learning and support.
Content Quality Control: Ensuring that the notes and resources uploaded by users are of good quality is a major challenge. To address this, we have implemented a rating system, view counts, like/dislike buttons, and comment sections to help users identify the best resources.
Monetization and Rewards: Balancing the need to generate revenue through advertisements and partnerships with educational tech companies, while also rewarding users with coins that can be redeemed for real money, presents a complex challenge. We need to ensure that the ads do not detract from the user experience and that the reward system is sustainable.
User Acquisition and Retention: Attracting and retaining users is critical for the success of Unikit. We have no experience in advertising, promotion, or digital marketing, which makes it difficult to effectively reach and engage our target audience.
Technical Development: While we have made significant progress in developing the app, including user registration, notes uploading and viewing, and other core features, there are still some technical aspects that need to be completed and refined.
By addressing these challenges, we aim to create a comprehensive and user-friendly platform that enhances the educational experience for students across India.
