The problem Twikkl solves
Twikkl focuses on tackling social network problems related to censorship, creator economy and Non-personalized contents. We came up with these cutting edge solutions for the aforementioned problems:
Witnesses: On TwikkL, witnesses play a crucial role in maintaining the platform’s content quality and community guidelines. They are responsible for reviewing flagged content, enforcing rules and guidelines, and taking appropriate actions against users who violate these standards. Witnesses also help foster a positive and inclusive community by addressing concerns, mediating conflicts, and promoting healthy discussions among users. Their efforts contribute significantly to maintaining a safe and engaging environment for everyone on the platform. We implemented a smart contract-based content takedown request system using EIP-2535 Diamond Standard to tackle content abuse and copyright issues, empowering witnesses to flag and vote on inappropriate content.
Creator economy: We integrated Zora on Twikkl to enable users collect their favorite contents to support creators, fostering the creator economy.
Video Groups: TwikkL allows users to create and manage their own video groups or communities, which could be focused on specific topics, interests, or communities. This provides users with a more personalized and tailored video sharing experience.
Challenges we ran into
Building a social network is no easy task..
We experienced a bit of a hurdle when trying to integrate Zora because of how we wanted the User experience to be in the app, but we were able to make proper utilization of the Zora contract.
Twikkl integrated Biconomy smart account (supports Base and polygon network for now), but they do not support Zora network at this time, we hope they do so soon.
