The problem tuNFT solves

To make a thousand dollars on Spotify, an artist will need to have over 200,000 streams. Musicians are struggling to make sense of the mess that is royalty distribution in its present form and find it difficult to keep a fair share of the revenue they generate on existing platforms.
Musicians are unable to receive the deserved revenue/share/royalty from their art form via currently available platforms (Source:Forbes). Moreover, there’s no transparent and decentralised platform for the same.

tuNFT is a decentralised platform to uplift musicians by enabling them to create NFTs of their
music. tuNFT helps fans connect on a deeper level with their music idols. tuNFT intends to provide them with royalties and recognition that they deserve but are not able to get enough from other sources.

Musicians can upload their music/songs as NFTs. These NFTs can then be traded and each time an NFT gets traded, the musician will receive a certain percent of the trade. The chat feature of tuNFT makes it possible so that fans have the opportunity to make one-on-one connections with their idols by chatting and engaging in the musician’s own fan community. Musicians can also take suggestions and inspiration from their top fans along the way. They’ll also have access to chat privately with the musician. A lot of features like background story of the music, discounts on concerts, exclusive merch etc can also be provided based on artists interest.

It is true that the main objective of a musician is to expand their audience, but they still require monetary support along the way. Our platform enables artists to get this support. Also, it doesn't matter if you're a bathroom singer, growing YouTube/Instagram star, or a famous musician. Anyone can create NFTs of their music.

Challenges we ran into

We had issues with integrating smart contract with the frontend as none of us has done this before.
