The problem CardiaChain solves

Problem Solved: Enhancing Trust and Transparency in Health Predictions
In traditional healthcare systems, personal health data and predictive analytics often reside in siloed, centralized databases.
This can lead to:

Lack of Transparency: Patients might not have a clear, immutable record of their health predictions or the conditions under which they were made.

Data Tampering Concerns: Centralized systems are more susceptible to data manipulation, raising questions about the integrity of recorded health outcomes.

Limited Auditability: Verifying the history and accuracy of predictive models over time can be challenging without an immutable ledger.

Fragmented Data Silos: Important health insights may be locked away, making it difficult for individuals or authorized parties to access and verify them.

How Your Project Addresses These Issues
Your project, by combining a heart disease prediction model with on-chain recording via Chainlink, introduces a novel approach to health data management:

Verifiable and Immutable Records: Each heart disease prediction result, along with external data from Chainlink (such as market conditions or, potentially, other verifiable external health metrics if integrated), is recorded on a blockchain. This creates an unchangeable, transparent, and publicly verifiable audit trail of each prediction.

Enhanced Trust: The immutability of blockchain ensures that once a prediction result is recorded, it cannot be altered or deleted. This builds significant trust in the integrity of the data.

Transparent Performance Tracking: Researchers and medical professionals can use these on-chain records to transparently track the performance and efficacy of predictive models over time, fostering continuous improvement and validation.

Decentralized Data Integrity: By leveraging a decentralized ledger, the reliance on a single, vulnerable central authority for storing critical health insights is reduced, enhancing data security and resilience.

What People Can Use It For:
Patients: Individuals can have a truly verifiable and personal record of their heart disease prediction outcomes, empowering them with immutable health insights they can trust. This could be beneficial for tracking their health journey, especially if integrated with other health metrics.

Healthcare Providers & Researchers:

Auditing Model Performance: Clinicians and data scientists can transparently audit the historical performance of the heart disease prediction model, identifying trends, and validating its accuracy against real-world data points recorded on-chain.

Collaborative Research: Researchers can access a standardized, immutable dataset of predictions and associated external factors, facilitating more robust and trustworthy studies on disease prevalence and risk factors.

Personalized Health Management: In a more advanced iteration, this could enable healthcare providers to offer more personalized advice based on a verifiable history of predictions.

AI/ML Model Developers: Developers of predictive health models can use this system to showcase the verifiable outcomes of their algorithms, building credibility and trust in their AI solutions for healthcare. The on-chain record serves as a transparent proof of their model's predictions at specific points in time.

Regulatory Compliance & Accountability: The immutable nature of blockchain records can aid in regulatory compliance by providing an unalterable log of predictions, enhancing accountability in health data processing.

By leveraging Chainlink, the project also demonstrates the ability to securely and reliably connect real-world data (like market prices, or potentially specialized health-related data feeds) with on-chain logic, making the recorded predictions richer and more contextually relevant in a verifiable manner.

Challenges I ran into

Challenges I Ran Into
One specific hurdle encountered was ensuring the correct Chainlink Price Feed address was used for the chosen testnet. Initially, using an incorrect or outdated address led to deployment failures or transactions reverting. This was overcome by diligently consulting the official Chainlink documentation's "Price Feed Addresses" page to verify the exact address for the ETH/USD pair on the Sepolia testnet, ensuring seamless interaction with the oracle.
