The Challenge

We tackle these challenges with the following key features:

Challenges we ran into

  • Efficient Alert Management: In order to ensure timely alerts for our users based on their subscription activity, we implemented a streamlined approach while keeping costs minimal. Our solution involved setting up cron jobs to trigger API calls every minute, allowing us to efficiently check our Supabase database for pending notifications. To manage the volume of messages sent to users and prevent overload, we devised a system to send alerts to groups of 10 users at a time, maintaining a reasonable threshold for bot to send interaction messages as well. Establishing a robust schema was essential for effective tracking of the last sent notification while maintaining flexibility. By leveraging SQL queries on our Supabase database, we were able to track the status of notifications and ensure seamless communication with users.
  • Telegram Mini App Optimization: Providing users with a seamless experience on Telegram was paramount for enhancing engagement. To achieve this, we implemented features to prevent message overlap and maintain a clean feed. By tracking the last sent message and deleting it upon sending a new one, we ensured that the conversation remained concise and clutter-free. Additionally, we utilized AI-powered summaries to condense lengthy proposals, allowing users to grasp the essence of the message quickly while offering the option for further exploration if desired. This approach not only improved user experience but also promoted better understanding of the content presented.
