TribeSpace

Where We Seek Our Roots

The problem TribeSpace solves

  • An E-Commerce dapp that promotes and sells unique niche products made by tribal communities and other minorities.
  • The platform aims to provide these communities a way to showcase and sell their products to a wider audience, while also providing them with the fruits of their labour
  • Users can browse and purchase products on the platform, which includes a variety of items such as handmade jewelry, traditional clothing, home decor, and more.
-The platform also includes a crowdfunding feature, allowing users to donate to support them by providing education, housing and food etc.
-To ensure the authenticity of the products, the dapp uses smart contracts to verify the transactions and automate the process of shipment.
  • The platform also provides educational resources to help users learn more about the cultures behind the products they are purchasing, helping to further promote cultural understanding and appreciation.
  • By using the platform, users can support and uplift marginalized communities while also gaining access to unique, high-quality products.

Challenges we ran into

  • Being our first major blockchain project we faced many challenges through the hackathon
  • One of our main challenge was to integrate Front end and smart contracts with the backend.
  • The projects main feature was to shop by navigating through a 3d map which shows different as we hover through it. This a very difficult process and it involved learning many new technologies such blender,three.js and other plugins. Although the prototype was built, we couldn't fully implement it in our web app in the given time.
  • Fetching data from the smart contract also was very time consuming
