The problem Travel Bot solves
Nowadays, most people travel a lot either for their business trip or for their family trip. Many people spend a huge amount of time on finding the hotel they want to stay in during their trip. A good hotel experience can affect their feelings. People can use our Tavelbot to help them decide and choose which hotel matches their preferences during their travel. It can save more time on the hotel search because our model automatically filters out the hotel that they do not prefer. Additionally, the users can find the most reliable information about the hotel as we incorporate the use of AI to keep track of the real time information from different hotel websites.
Challenges we ran into
We met different bugs in developing our Travelbot. For the data training aspect, the string length
is very long and we cannot input it correctly to the database model. What we did was to chunk these data to ensure the running efficiency. Since we have different dimensions of dataset, we need to ensure that they are on the same dimension that matches the users’ preferences. For the connection between frontend and backend, we need to make sure that they are on the same port to be connected. We spent some time in debugging the connection method.
