Challenges we ran into
Challenges Faced During Development
While building the AI-powered trailer generator, we encountered several challenges that tested our problem-solving abilities:
Data Quality and Availability: One of the significant hurdles was sourcing high-quality data to train our AI models. Initially, we struggled with a limited dataset of trailers, which impacted the quality of our generated outputs. To overcome this, we explored various online databases and collaborated with local film schools and production houses to gather a diverse range of trailer examples. This expanded dataset allowed us to improve the model's performance significantly.
Integration of AI Models: Integrating the ChatGPT-powered LLM and Llama AI into our tool presented technical challenges, particularly in ensuring seamless communication between the models and the frontend application. We tackled this issue by developing a robust API that facilitated efficient data exchange and by conducting extensive testing to identify and resolve integration issues. This iterative process ultimately led to a more stable and responsive application.
User Experience Design: Designing an intuitive user interface that accommodates a wide range of user preferences was another challenge. We conducted user interviews and usability tests to gather feedback on our initial designs. By iterating on this feedback, we created a user-friendly interface that simplifies the trailer creation process, ensuring users can easily navigate and customize their trailers.
