Townsquare
Consensus you can verify
The problem Townsquare solves
Most polls show a winner but hide the reasoning, shared ground, and trust assumptions behind the result. Townsquare turns a decision into a structured conversation: participants respond to statements, add their own perspectives, and see where opinion groups agree or differ. One-time invite codes control access, while anonymous participation protects identities. Signed actions and Base Sepolia anchors make the resulting report independently verifiable in the browser. Participants need no wallet or gas.
Challenges I ran into
The hardest challenge was making participation private while keeping the result auditable. I used zero-knowledge membership proofs and conversation-specific pseudonyms so votes can be checked without revealing who cast them. I also had to handle changing group roots while proofs were generated, then make the report reproducible from signed actions and a tamper-evident log anchored on Base Sepolia. Small opinion groups can expose participants, so the app suppresses their detailed statistics. Anon Aadhaar remains a test-mode option; the live demo uses one-time invite codes.
