The problem Toodles solves

In today’s digital world everything is ordered online right from food to grocery, clothes, furniture, home decor electronic gadgets and much more and is delivered right to your doorstep. E-Commerce companies are facing a problem with home delivery due to heavily increasing traffic in road transport. The aim of our project is to solve this problem by exploring the transport opportunities in the vertical dimension above the road. Drones are flying robots which include unmanned air vehicles (UAVs) that fly thousands of kilometers in different environments and locations and can perform various missions. Considerable advantages of drones have led to a myriad of studies to focus on the optimization and enhancement of the performances of these drones. Nowadays, there is a growing need for flying drones with diverse capabilities for both civilian and military applications. The applications of drones cover a wide range of civil and military applications. Drones can be equipped with various sensors and cameras for doing intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions. The applications of drones can be categorized in different ways. One such application is cargo delivery.

Challenges we ran into

In the last monsoon during the heavy rainfall in Vadodara, most of the roads were blocked due to water lodging. The climate got clear after a few days even though water lodging was not clear and this made the supply of medicines and food packages difficult. This situation is the high time were we need drones that can travel to long-distance without human interruption that can work on the principle of the machine to machine communication instead of RC control.
