Challenges I ran into
During the development of Ticketer, I encountered several challenges that required innovative solutions and problem-solving. Some of the notable challenges I faced include:
-
Blockchain Integration: Integrating the NEAR Protocol blockchain into the application presented a learning curve. The complexity of handling transactions, smart contracts, and wallet interactions required a deep understanding of blockchain concepts. To overcome this, I dedicated time to studying NEAR's documentation and sought assistance from the NEAR community forums. Additionally, I experimented with sample projects to gain hands-on experience, gradually building my proficiency.
-
User Authentication and Wallet Integration: Implementing secure user authentication and seamless wallet integration proved to be a challenge. Ensuring that user wallets could interact with the application without compromising security was critical. I navigated this challenge by following best practices for wallet integration and authentication processes. Regular testing and iteration helped fine-tune the integration and resolve any security concerns.
-
Smart Contract Logic: Designing and implementing the smart contract logic for ticket management required careful consideration. Ensuring that tickets were bought and sold accurately, and that event data was properly stored on the blockchain, demanded a solid understanding of smart contract development. I addressed this by thoroughly reviewing smart contract examples, debugging logic, and conducting comprehensive testing to verify the accuracy of ticket-related functions.
-
User Experience and Design: Designing an intuitive and user-friendly interface was paramount. Balancing a visually appealing design with functionality posed a challenge. To overcome this, I conducted user testing and gathered feedback to refine the user experience. I also sought inspiration from successful ticketing platforms and incorporated design principles that enhance us
