The problem ticketChain solves

The traditional ticketing industry is plagued by issues like scalping, counterfeiting, and a lack of transparency, leading to significant frustration for both event organizers and attendees. We were inspired to leverage the power of Web3 to create a more secure, efficient, and user-friendly ticketing ecosystem. Our goal was to eliminate fraud, empower true ownership for ticket holders, and provide new revenue streams for creators, ultimately transforming the event experience.

Challenges we ran into

As with any project, we encountered several challenges during development. The main challenge was preventing bots from sweeping all the tickets and reselling them at higher prices like a situation that often occurs in the real world. To mitigate this issue, we implemented a mechanism requiring a server-encrypted signature to mint ticket NFTs.

Furthermore, the project turned out to be larger in scope than we had anticipated for a hackathon. Nevertheless, we worked hard to complete as much of it as possible.
