Tinder-style swiping game to decide who the real Degens and Regens of Farcaster are!

Regen App turns community discovery on Farcaster into a fun, swipe-based experience. Instead of scrolling endlessly, people can:

• Quickly explore profiles and spot who’s more regen or degen.
• Build connections through a playful mechanic that lowers the barrier to networking.
• Grow community culture with leaderboards and shared streaks that highlight active, like-minded members.

By gamifying discovery, it makes finding interesting people and fostering Regen values on Farcaster easier, engaging, and social.

Challenges we ran into

One major challenge was integrating the Neynar API to fetch Farcaster users with profile pictures from recent global posts. We wanted to ensure that only people who had actively posted appeared in the swipe deck — turning posting into a natural gateway to be part of the game.

Another big hurdle was building a system where users could unlock more swipes only by sharing on their feed. The post had to tag the most-followed user they voted for, with text like:
“I voted Degen on ____ in the Regen App. Want to cast your judgement?”

Both features required creative workarounds in API logic and user flows, but once solved, they turned into key mechanics that drive engagement and community interaction.

Also, we ran into errors while integrating the Ethereum Attestation Service (EAS) contracts through their SDKs. While the web app allows us to connect to external wallets to handle the contract integration, there is a missing method for gas estimation that the EAS SDK requires for proper function.
