Frequently people lose their belongings and have a hard time finding it. They have to manually check their organization's or college's 'Lost and Found' directory (if they are lucky to have one). The webapp is our handcrafted tool to assist organizations solve this problem. The AI powered webapp is just the thing you need when you lose your blue shirt or your American brown leather tanned wallet. When we were building the app, what we had in our mind was to solve a local problem; something that could help us students. The inspiration in-fact came from right there. Often the washerman would misdeliver our clothes and we would end up receiving each others' clothes. Even though our main inspiration was just to sort clothes, our completely developed webapp can be applied to a wide space of items. We hope that our efforts would be successful.
We ran into various troubles while dealing with django some of them includes -- difficulty in getting image as an input and process it at the backend, renaming the image files as per a particular format, managing absolute and relative paths in website, setting up url patterns ,storing media files, managing static files, Handling almost a thousand errors. Biggest problem we faced was integrating frontend with backend as It took a million google searches to get correct syntax used in django templating system due to its so peculiar syntax. Another problem we faced was glitches arising in django app due to too much reloading of server which gave unexpected result. In front-end we had to learn the minute details of bootstrap in order to come up with a great result. At the end it was stack-overlow,django-docs,w3schools,google and our sheer determination which helped us in completing our project
