The problem The Internet Token solves
The Internet Token (INT) is a new cryptocurrency with a twist: it integrates a weekly raffle system where ticket holders can win cash prizes. When you buy $INT, you automatically get tickets (Ticket NFTs) for a chance to win a share of the weekly pot, which grows with each buy.
Challenges I ran into
This was my first ever build using React, so I literally started with nothing and built the whole thing from the ground up. Used Wagmi and Viem, alongside RainbowKit for the wallet management. Hard to state any one hurdle, the whole thing has been a hurdle! I'd say the biggest issue was just building on the fly, polling the chain for state changes, and keeping a local copy for easy of use by site users. Wrote a bunch of Python scripts that are called by Cron jobs to keep it all up to date. Then Python APIs to read from the MySQL database and feed the front end. Didn't know anything about React, FastAPI, Wagmi, any of it just a few months ago. I have been building web2 websites for 20 years so I wasn't starting from zero, but it has been quite the project to figure all this stuff out. Challenging and rewarding.
