I faced challenges in embedding data in vector form using OpenAI API and python script I wrote.
When I started working on this project, I faced several challenges, especially since it was my first time contributing to an open source project. One of the major difficulties I encountered was navigating GitHub and understanding its workflow. It took some time for me to grasp the concept of forking, cloning, committing, and pushing to the repository. However, with the help of some online resources and guidance from mentor, I was able to overcome this difficulty. Another challenge I faced was in the process of web scraping data and converting it into JSON format.
Since the dataset was large and complex, I had to explore different libraries and techniques to extract the data effectively. This required some trial and error, and it took me a while to find the best approach. Despite these difficulties, I was determined to learn and contribute to the project. With the help of the project team and my own perseverance, I was able to overcome these challenges and successfully complete my contribution. Overall, the experience taught me a lot about open source development and gave me the opportunity to develop new technical skills, which I believe will be useful in my future work.
