Challenges I ran into

Cross-Platform Authentication
Implementing Sign-In with X (SIWX) alongside Farcaster authentication proved challenging due to different OAuth flows and token verification methods. We solved this by:

1. Creating separate authentication flows for each platform
2. Implementing fallback mechanisms for OAuth 1.1 and 2.0
3. Using proper signature verification for both EOAs and smart wallets (ERC-1271)

Token Data Fetching
Reliably fetching token metadata on Base required multiple fallback strategies:

1. Primary: OnchainKit's getTokens API for complete metadata including images
2. Fallback: Direct RPC calls to Base mainnet for basic token information
3. Error handling for invalid or non-existent tokens

QR Code Generation with Branding
Creating custom QR codes with Base branding while maintaining scannability required:

1. Precise error correction level calculations
2. Custom positioning detection patterns with rounded corners
3. Careful logo placement to avoid interference with QR functionality

Our platform primarily interacts with existing Base infrastructure rather than deploying custom contracts:
