The problem The Closet solves
It's a completely gas-free platform for luxury product enthusiasts who still haven't explored the web3 space in which they can buy real luxury products like a Chanel bag or a Dolce&gabbana suit and receive an NFT representing their ownership, which we use on our VR/AR collaborative front of the website as character and room(closet) customizations and minting a non-transferable NFT to their wallet that represents their closet and all the NFTs in it and giving them all the bragging rights they desire.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into problems with data modeling and choosing technologies to use accordingly. A simplified lot of stuff by using graphql instead of traditional REST API so we can leverage the benefits of defining resolvers for particulars where some stuff is coming from the Postgresql DB and others from the blockchain via alchemy. during data modelling, we ran into problems in deciding which data to save in SQL and which on the blockchain which caused a lot confusion and required large brainstorming sessions
