The problem The Caring Comet solves
Caring Comet serves as a one-stop solution for various aspects of mental well-being, making it easier and safer for users to navigate and enhance their mental health -
1. Immediate emotional support: Individuals facing emotional challenges or seeking someone to talk to can benefit from our NLP-powered chatbot, providing instant emotional and guidance support anytime. Its multilingual support features helps to cater a diverse user base, making the platform more inclusive and accessible to individuals from various linguistic backgrounds.
2. Effortless Connection with doctors: Finding the right mental health professional becomes easier with our platform. Users can seamlessly search for doctors, access detailed information about their expertise, experience, fees, and location, and contact details through the platform without asking them to share their personal information or any commission fees . This simplifies the process of seeking professional help.
3. Comprehensive Mental Wellness Resources: Our centralized resource hub is a one-stop-shop for a variety of mental wellness resources. Whether users are looking for self-help videos, blogs, helpline contacts, affirmations and mindfulness exercises, they can find everything they need in one convenient location. It will also include live events and webinars details when organized.
4. Psychometric Tests aligned for Mental Wellness evaluation: Users can utilize our platform to assess their mental well-being through personalized psychometric tests. The results provide detailed insights into their mental health, helping them better understand their strengths, and overall well-being.
5. Feedback: Additionally, we prioritize user feedback as an integral part of our platform. We receive it directly on email via the web app, ensuring prompt acknowledgment for continuous improvement.
Additionally we plan to add Google Authentication and Firebase for security and chat storage.
Challenges we ran into
Embarking on the journey of creating this bot provided our team with an incredible learning opportunity. We delved into new libraries, services, platforms, and editors, encountering and surmounting several challenges along the way:
1. Integrating Bot Logic in JavaScript:
Transitioning from Python and NLP to seamlessly integrate bot logic with JavaScript was a significant learning curve. After exploring various methods, we successfully achieved integration with the help of http.server.
2. Deployment:
The deployment phase presented formidable obstacles, from critical errors to system incompatibilities and service hiccups. Devoting a substantial amount of time, we triumphed in deploying our bot, ultimately utilizing Vercel for a streamlined deployment process.
3. Real-Time Get-In-Touch Form:
Implementing a real-time response system for our Get-In-Touch form posed its challenges. Leveraging the web3form API, we achieved not only real-time email notifications but also enhanced user experience by eliminating the need for a 3rd party site display after form submission. Additionally, we polished the process by seamlessly refreshing the form post successful submission.
