So , I am from Hyderabad. Whenever I wanted to go home during holidays, I had to search endlessly and scroll through sites many times to check the prices. So we built a bot using selenium and python to automate this for us and give real time updates to the user.
All of us are beginners in programming. One of the team members had a previous experience in python. The rest watched tutorials and we learnt a lot of selenium methods. The first problem was that we were unable to extract data from the site . After extracting, we had to store and then compare the data in real time. This also proved to be a hassle. We got so many bugs and syntax errors that we almost didn't make this submission. This was our first hackathon experience and I am happy to say we learned a lot.
