Challenges we ran into

Our biggest hurdle was to integrate a vector database. We had a very short time period left to integrate vector database which was going to be used for finding similar chunks of paragraphs from the given PDF. The sigining up process and implementing SDK of some providers were tough to execute in short time. There were a lot of minor details ,integration testing and few api left to compelete.

We overcome this situation by an innovative approach. We used a json based Vector database for the hackathon. IT was good enough for demo and fast enough to integrate in an hour. Our team analysed the cons and pros of the this approach. The only is that it was not scalabe and we had to clear db after few trials since the vector DB gets too large in JSON format. But at the end we managed to make a working protoype with all the efforts and dedication of our team.
