The problem Telegenic solves

The world is moving into short-form videos nowadays, eg reels and shorts. Our application makes it easier to create these short-form videos using a variety of ML and signal-processing techniques. We also generate a potential thumbnail for the generated short-form videos by using GANs. We also have a platform for budding creators to showcase their video content to their friends without any advertising or monetization. Therefore, now all you need to make content is an idea, and our app will handle the rest.

Challenges we ran into

The main problem we ran into was in running the app against replit. Since our application was very memory intensive, to run it in replit, we have to optimize and tweak some of the video filters. The other challenge was that without a proper GPU, training a GAN took a lot of time. So we had to make a tradeoff between the fid score and the number of iterations. In building the platform, we ran into an infinite render error which also took some time to solve.
