The problem TECHOPEDIA solves

Developing a Web Portal for Reading Technical Blogs and Research Papers by Students of IGDTUW provides a great opportunity for all the IGDTUW students and staff members to seamlessly delve into the world of technical research and blogs . The web portal would enable users to navigate through a variety of Research papers and blogs with the convenience of using filter options to find their material of interest. The website would provide an interactive user interface for researchers to resolve their doubts and discuss their research paper . During interactions the only things visible would be the name ,education and research fields of an individual. Personal sensitive information would be protected at all times . The web portal will have an easy to use – user friendly interface and will be subject to improvements with respect to the target audience and future trends. The portal will provide features such as commenting, rating and discussion to foster a sense of community among students who write and read the technical writings The goal of the project is to promote technical writing among students/staff and to make the writings of the students/staff at the university more accessible and widely read among their peers.

Challenges we ran into

INADEQUATE SKILLS OF TEAM MEMBER How we dealt with it : By researching, collecting information, learning that skill and discussing it among ourselves for further doubt resolutions .
TEAM CONFLICT :When asked about project management challenges, lack of strategic direction and leadership was a major problem which led to team conflicts. How we dealt with it : By discussing the misunderstandings and reaching a neutral conclusion through multiple meetings.
LACK OF TECHNICAL AND UX DESIGNING TRACK KNOWLEDGE
How we dealt with it : We researched a lot about all the technologies available in the market to build a
competent web portal that would cater all the needs of the target audience. For UX Case study , we
researched on sites like Built for Mars, read a lot of UX case study papers, used websites like
figma.com and finally formulated our own case study.
ABSENCE OF ACCOUNTABILITY: Accountability means every member of your team is responsible for their decisions and actions. This isn’t about handing out blame if things go wrong. It’s empowering your team to get things done the way they want to, without micro-managing their every move.
How we dealt with it : Setting up goals and objectives helps build accountability as everyone is clear
on their responsibilities.
