The problem TeachersDeck solves

Considering that the countries across the globe are affected by COVID 19 pandemic, shutting down educational institutes. Thus, leaving students and teachers hopeless.

Teachers in India are facing umpteen problems during COVID-19 pandemic, like: being technologically handicapped, not having the essential devices, being cyber bullied by students, facing health issues, etc.

--> Our app provides Video Tutorials and useful Articles, educating the teachers about various platforms, what is the difference between them and how online education can be provided effectively.

--> Many of us have some old smartphones, laptops, etc. that we don’t use but we’ve simply kept them with us. So, with our app we are introducing a platform for people to donate their old working gadgets to someone who really needs it.

--> Getting bullied/harassed could lead to serious mental issues. Plus, ignoring the act of harassment done by young students can give them courage to do more heinous crimes in the future. TeachersDeck educate our teachers about the seriousness of cyber bullying, what measures can be taken to prevent such acts and how to file a complaint if needed.

--> "Health is the Biggest Wealth! ”. Teachers, who were in a habit of climbing stairs and walking in school are now stuck with sitting and teaching in front of screen for hours. Such a lifestyle can have serious repercussions. TeachersDeck, provides information and tips on how to stay fit and healthy even with this lifestyle.

--> Though the App deals majorly with problems faced by teachers, it can also be use by students to get health tips, learn about cyber crime and how to report such a crime. Students can also donate gadgets or spread a word amongst others to make a donation

Challenges we ran into

When we generated the apk file, the layouts were differeing on devices having different screen densities. This was affecting the UI that we wanted to present. To overcome this, we had to search for a while and then we overcame it by adding different layout files according to screen densities.
