The problem T.A.R.G.E.T solves

While trying to think about the problems in the defense sector, we came up with 2 major ones like Drones have become an increasingly valuable tool in military operations; when operating in environments such as dense forests, particularly in surgical strikes drones can face significant challenges. They cant detect land mines and, The obstructed view can make it difficult for the drone to identify targets, while the presence of landmines can seriously threaten the military personnel's safety.
Additionally, the noise generated by the drone can also be a hindrance, as it may alert enemy forces to the drone's presence and location. Despite these challenges, military forces continue to rely on Drones, We thought of a more innovative approach that could help gather better intelligence on the battlefield, without the involved risks.
Another issue is that India shares unfenced borders with neighbouring countries, such as Nepal, Bhutan, and Bangladesh. Despite the efforts of the Indian military and border security forces to prevent illegal crossings, people still manage to cross these unfenced borders without detection. The terrain and dense vegetation along these borders make it difficult for the military to monitor every inch of the area. The issue of unfenced borders and illegal crossings remains a significant challenge for India's security agencies, and there is a need for innovative solutions to improve border security and prevent illegal activities.

Challenges we ran into

Being a first-year team, it was a great learning experience for us. We discovered many new things as we attempted to build a complete IOT system integrated with AI. The biggest challenge we encountered was the metal detector, which occasionally failed to function because it was entirely analog and was built from scratch. It was also difficult to obtain thermal images using an IR camera and turn them into a visual stream. It was a really cool project, and we're proud of what we have built in such a short time.
