Fostering the growth of the on-chain builders and enthuasist in my country. By providing more Swahili based information, answering questions, and offering guidance, We aim to empower individuals and organizations to build and utilize on-chain tools. My focus is on bridging the gap between technical knowledge and practical application, making it easier for people to explore the potential of base in Tanzania.
Growing up in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and being of Chaga tribe from the Kilimanajaro region, i've witnessed firsthand the challenges and opportunities that exist in our local community. On-chain tools can offer potential solutions to many of these problems. By educating people about these tools, you can empower them to know how they can get involved and starting building . For example alot of small business can really use aceptusdc to save up, get higher margins. but lack of knowledge especially of local people hinders participation and engagement to create decentralized applications that address specific needs, access financial services more easily, participate in governance and decision-making processes, build trust and transparency in various sectors eg voting.
Tanzania, with its diverse landscape and rich cultural heritage, presents a unique opportunity for onchain education to cater to various niches. Of the 54 million people in Tanzania, approximately 10% to 20% of the population in Tanzania speaks English. English is an official language used in government, business, and education, but the majority of Tanzanians primarily speak Kiswahili (Swahili) and various local languages. This barriers lead to big number of Tanzanian folks to not be able to understand and participate on the onchain economy. Here a some niches Agriculture,Finance,Tourism and Hospitality, Artists,Government and Devs.
Tanzania Base Community is a dynamic and forward-thinking group focused on bringing the Tanzanian community onchain.
-X can be very buggy and sometimes the country hinders access to it which requires VPN to access .This can be barrier/hindrace for access to information to many folks here.
Most Tanzania still use phones with no internet access, The cost of smartphones, computers, and tablets can be prohibitive for many Tanzanians.
Language differences: While Swahili is widely spoken in Tanzania and East Africa, there are numerous local languages that may require translation of educational materials.
