The problem Tamaverse: Farcaster Onchain Companions solves

Social platforms often struggle to keep users engaged and incentivize consistent participation due to a lack of rewarding experiences and interactive content. Tamaverse tackles these issues by integrating gamification, allowing users to nurture and level up NFT pets through activities on Farcaster. This makes the platform more engaging and fun, utilizing Farcaster’s innovative frames concept.

Challenges we ran into

Challenge 1: Displaying Dynamic Content

Using Farcaster's frame, which allows users to access the dapp directly in their feed, imposed significant limitations on the interactivity of the application since it could only display static content like PNGs and GIFs. This limitation required innovative solutions to create a dynamic user experience. As a solution, we introduced transitional screens with animation on actions to smoothly re-draw the main screen.

Challenge 2: Tracking Farcaster Activity for NFT Holders

Another significant challenge was the need to permanently track activity on the Farcaster protocol exclusively for NFT holders. This requirement presented a complex task for interconnecting and tracking activities. As a solution, we are collecting all FIDs and wallet addresses and then monitoring the Base blockchain for NFT possession.
