Challenges we ran into
During the development of this project, we encountered several significant challenges that tested our problem-solving skills and perseverance.
Integration Challenges: Initially, we faced issues with making read calls on the contract using the Wagmi library. Despite our efforts, we found it challenging to resolve these issues and ensure smooth communication with the smart contract. Eventually, we made the decision to switch to the Ethers.js library for all our integrations. This transition brought about the necessary reliability and functionality required for seamless interactions with the contract.
Smart Contract Compatibility: As we delved deeper into the project, we encountered complications arising from the compatibility of different smart contract dependencies. Some of these dependencies did not work harmoniously with one another, leading to unexpected errors and inconsistencies. To overcome this obstacle, we made the tough decision to reevaluate our approach and rebuild certain components from scratch. This step was time-consuming but ultimately essential in ensuring the stability and robustness of the application.
These challenges demanded a combination of creative problem-solving, diligent research, and collaborative efforts within our team. While they certainly posed setbacks, they also served as valuable learning experiences that bolstered our understanding of blockchain technology and its intricacies. Through persistence and adaptability, we managed to overcome these hurdles and deliver a more refined and resilient product.
