Women's health remains woefully neglected and underfinanced in health systems across the world. Medical research historically has lacked representation of women, diagnosis remains biased against women, and gender-insensitive health care is prevalent in health care service provision. Thus, most diseases that predominantly occur in women, including endometriosis, heart disease, and other cancers, are misdiagnosed or underdiagnosed, thereby leading to a delay in their treatment and consequently worsening health outcomes.

Moreover, gender stereotypes among healthcare providers also result in women's problems being ignored or not given importance, especially for chronic pain disorders and psychological disorders. Women often find it challenging to gain access to preventive care, screenings, and tailor-made treatments, which further contributes to differences in healthcare outcomes.

This makes the problem even worse, because of cultural stigma and a general lack of awareness around women's health, leaving many women without access to the most vital information or healthcare resources. This lack of attention to women's unique health challenges places significant emotional, physical, and financial burdens on women, their families, and society.

The gap that our project seeks to bridge is by ensuring the healthcare solutions provided are gender-sensitive, improving awareness, and providing women with timely, accurate, and personalized care according to their needs.
